Artificial intelligence checks the health of bus drivers.

Modern technologies are being introduced in Shymkent to improve road safety. Artificial intelligence is now monitoring the health of public transport drivers. Preand post-trip medical examinations have been completely digitalized, allowing for faster and more accurate detection of potential abnormalities.

Tileubek Amirseyitov has been a driver for over 30 years. He believes that daily health checks are essential, as drivers are responsible not only for their own safety but also for the safety of passengers while driving public transport. Previously, medical examinations were performed by medical professionals, but now digital technology has come to the rescue.

The new smart system detects blood pressure, body temperature, pulse, and other vital signs of public transport and special equipment drivers in just minutes.

Tileubek Amirseyitov, the driver: “This is important for passenger safety and for us to be aware of our own health. Previously, we were checked by doctors using a small device that required blowing into. Now, everything is monitored through a modern system, but doctors also monitor the process.”

According to specialists, this approach reduces the likelihood of human error and improves road safety. If any deviations are detected during the check, the system immediately triggers an alert, and the driver is not allowed to the trip.

Alisher Torekulov, Deputy Director of Raduga-Transport LLC: “Some drivers are diagnosed with high blood pressure and cannot pass the test. If all indicators are normal, the device issues a check sticker. It is attached to the waybill, after which the driver receives permission to work. Those who fail the test go to a clinic and undergo treatment. More than 100 people undergo this procedure daily.”

While previously medical screening was mostly done on paper, the process has now become more transparent, accurate, and faster. Digital technologies not only save time but also improve the quality of public transportation services.

It should be added that all driver health data is automatically entered into a database via a special terminal, and the results are stored in an electronic system.
